Oz at Wilder

TUESDAY, June 6th from 6pm-8pm at Wilder (Germantown)!

Join us for a very special Happy Hour, where we will have some lovely guests from Oz Arts.

Choreographer and dancer Rebekah Hampton Barger was born with profound scoliosis-- her spine is essentially shaped like a dramatic S.  For many people this anatomical anomaly would have meant a lifetime of covering up their physical form.  Instead, Rebekah became a contemporary dancer and founded Nashville's aerial dance company, FALL.

Mary Mooney is a Nashville based fine artist, who will explore her own vulnerability by inviting the audience into her process--painting live while FALL performs.

The two have joined forces for a one-night performance at Oz on Thursday, June 15th, for what will be a fascinating exploration on visibility, limitations and obstacles. Read more about that show here

In anticipation of that performance, Wilder will host both of these fascinating ladies and the delightful Oz family for a talk-back and preview of their work.  There will be drinks, bites, brains and hearts.

It is no secret that we are huge fans of Oz and its compelling and singular programming-- they present work that is brilliant and frequently edgy-- not just for Nashville, but on a national scale.

We are thrilled to join forces and introduce our friends and patrons to Oz's work, and look forward to further interesting collaborations.  JOIN US!
