Though he is known primarily as a photographer, I was mesmerized by a series of colorful, abstract drawings I discovered and digitally archived during a series of impromptu visits to see him in Memphis a few years ago. Working side by side, I began incorporating my father's drawings into new projects, resulting in a series of print motifs that capture his continent-hopping years and vivid imagination, named for the far-flung cities and countries to which he traveled, including Havana, Bali, and Berlin."
