Skye Parrott grew up in Hoboken, NJ, went to high school in Brooklyn, and studied Political Science at UCLA before changing directions to begin a creative career in Paris. She has worked as managing editor at Self Service, and as studio manager for Nan Goldin, overseeing operations of both her New York and Paris studios.

Skye has worked with numerous editorial and advertising clients as a photographer and director. She has collaborated on photo projects with the artist Robert Longo, worked with David Armstrong on the first edit for his book Night and Day, and has curated several photography exhibitions, including "Younger Than I'll Be" at The Brooklyn Academy of Music, which looked at the experience and freedoms of youth in New York City.

Skye is the co-founder and creative director of Dossier, the globally distributed biannual arts and fashion journal. Dossier was known as a platform that championed young creatives and helped to launch the careers of many photographers, fashion designers, and artists.

She publishes a platform called Perfect Days, which looks at motherhood and other female experiences through a creative lens, as well as Double or Nothing, which explores multi-media content. She is editor-in-chief for the 2020 re-launch of the iconic, feminist publication Playgirl Magazine.

She currently lives and works between New York City and Sayulita, Mexico.
